The kind of Saturdays i like!

Today is the kind of day I love!!!! It is not to often we do not have "ANYTHING" to do during the day on a Saturday. It has been a rough couple of weeks at work and I am so grateful for the down time and being able to rejuvenate myself thru creating art. Thank goodness I did'nt have anything to do so I could make a gift for party we are going to tonight!

It will be fun to hang out with all of our dear friends and celebrate a very special marriage!

Cash and I have had some fun creating to! He cracks me up singing singing the whole time while randomly gluing and putting some paper down and drawing. He definitely has his own style and knows what is in his head and what he HAS to put on paper. See below the gun he cut out! He also insists he has to wear safety glasses while doing art! Oh the things he comes up with..... I love watching him!

As for me I have been working on some backgrounds for future art. I also have been playing around painting on Muslin and leather.

Gus and Doug have been working on the horse pens aka WHAT I CALL "THE BELOVED" That is Doug's refuge and I am so thankful he has it....I like to give him a hard time about it none the less(:

Thanks to all for all the encouraging words on starting my blog!

Have you seen my new layout? Mrs. Shelley Hale created it!!!! Isnt she awesome!!! Thanks again Shelley for gussying me up!

Hope you all have a terrific weekend!

  1. I LOVE that pitcher! I think I posted that before under your NAME :) So sorry... I was still logged in as YOU after doing your header! Have a great weekend!

  2. He is so cute with those safety glasses :) I love how free children are when they're into their art.

  3. Awesome header! Shelley- you're the sweetest! You can't imagine how much I am enjoying these wonderful pictures. But it makes me very homesick for you all.

  4. Hi there! I'm new here. The pitcher is beautiful and the boy, well, he's adorable. They're the sweetest, aren't they?

  5. I like the spray paint / flower piece - nice use of line and color!
